My husband and I went to Sanibel Island in February. It was our 4th trip there and every time I go I come back refreshed and ready to paint.
When you live near Buffalo NY, the winters can be pretty long and cold. This doesn’t bother me too much, except for the lack of COLOR. Towards the end of January everything seems to be in shades of gray, even the snow piles. I begin to see it in my paintings, even ones Im doing from photos.
So I drink in the colors of Sanibel when we’re there. And I arrive home ready to use those colors in my paintings. Here are a couple:
