I realized recently that I had amassed a little collection of drawings I'd done with the same theme:  Powerful Girls.  All pictured girls overcoming seemingly impossible situations.  And not just overcoming those circumstances but also enjoying their own courage and strength.  I know many girls and women like this, and women who have raised their own girls to be this way,  a few of whom are in my family and a few I'm lucky enough to call friends.  Here's to raising and encouraging the girls in our lives to be brave,strong and powerful.
